Winter’s fresh chill is in the morning air and though it’s time for the critters to bunk down, I’m sure you’re like me and pleased to be able to get out and see family and friends after the Covid shutdown. I do hope you and your family have been well, safe and creative at this unusual time.
During this stay @home time, Richard and I have been in the garden, planting native species and battling those weeds; the dreaded cat’s claw and a few other nasties. Our garden slopes down to the river and what we plant could easily be washed away in the floods. Some research is necessary to find out what use to be here and what can grow under the different conditions now.
Banding together with 3 other like-minded artists- Hopeful Disruptors is what we reckon we are- we’ve decided to address riverbank erosion together as we love this river where we live. Stay tuned, as we’re planning plantings and artfully document of the process and will produce an exhibition about this mighty river, and to encourage others to join us.
