Description
This work is held in the Grafton Regional Gallery Collection and an overseas collector and there is only one left in the edition. The artwork was inspired whilst canoeing the Orara River in Australia’s Northern New South Wales region. Floating downstream I came upon the beautiful reflections in the water from overhanging branches. Being on the water is a joy, and the gentle rock of the waves soothes me. I used the bed as a metaphor for life’s journey and our big life dreams. It is a reminder that it is the journey that counts.
