Description

Childhood memories of gustily singing with my Dad ‘She’ll be coming round the mountains when she comes’ remain with me.  We would drive to the Blue Mountains for a family holiday and halfway up, I’d open the window to hear the Bellbirds sing.

This beautiful Orange Mountain Gum is up round the mountains too, in Northern NSW between Tenterfield and the border of Queensland.  The rains there, soak and run down the mountain slopes to fill the Clarence River waterways with this precious life force.

Spending time drawing and pondering, leaning in with the presence of the Orange Mountain Gum; I felt a kinship with this tree, memories shared of our lives lived.
