Description
Welcome, from Rochelle Summerfield’s House of Stocks series, is a collaged house shaped from mortgage and bank fee newsprint, framed by a heavy curtain, a table set with bread and wine, and a watchful pigeon, hinting at hospitality offered yet withheld. The house has its shadow self of pain, anger, and suffering.
This work is combinations of photographs of handmade collages of torn newspapers and vintage papers, then digitally printed.
